Statement

I approach photography as a way of remaining in dialogue with place. Each project begins with a simple question: How does this place invite me to record my encounter with it? Rather than asking the environment to conform to my process, I allow the conditions of each place, its histories, rhythms, materiality, and atmosphere, to shape the form the work will take.
